Accommodation

Getting accommodation at the site of your harvest work is always a good plan, so carrying your own camping equipment is a smart idea, especially if you have a car. Otherwise there’s camping, caravan parks and hotels and motels in town.

Not Fruit Picking – What to do?

This is a beautiful region with tropical rainforests and plenty to do in the outdoors. Hot Air Balloon rides, outback camping, the annual rodeo ( July) are all activities that will keep you busy when not partaking in harvest work.

Extending Your Australian Working Holiday Visa

Many harvest jobs will meet the Second Australian Working Holiday Visa eligibility and count towards the 88 days of specified work. Some regional locations and jobs are ineligible which could lead to the Department of Immigration rejecting your application. So remember to confirm whether or not your fruit picking or harvest job will count towards the Second Australian WHV.
