Known for its forests, wildlife-spotting and long empty beaches Smithton is located near the north west corner of Tassie. People don’t normally associate Tasmania with beautiful beaches or great surf but you’ll be find avid surfers trying there luck at Marrawah. River and Duck Bay, 2km from the town centre is a popular fishing and boating destination.
