Set on the banks of Meander river, Deloraine is Located 50km west of Launceston. The town itself is classified by the National trust and is home to the Annual Tasmanian Craft Fair where the population of Deloraine increases to as much as 30,000 during the Art Fair.

Getting There
Deloraine is a 40 minute drive from both of Devonport and Launceston. The town is serviced regularly by local buses and with a car you could easily reside in on of the bigger two towns and do the daily commute.
Accommodation
You may find a farm that will provide basic dorm style accommodation for harvesters or will accommodate harvest workers with camper vans or camping equipment. Otherwise there’s ample accommodation in town with caravan parks, B&B’s, hotels and motels.

Extending Your Australian Working Holiday Visa
Many harvest jobs will meet the Second Australian Working Holiday Visa eligibility and count towards the 88 days of specified work. Some regional locations and jobs are ineligible which could lead to the Department of Immigration rejecting your application. So remember to confirm whether or not your fruit picking or harvest job will count towards the Second Australian WHV.
