It’s a 45 minute from Perth, public transport will only get you so far, so it will be better having your own car.
Accommodation
In a nutshell, if you secure accommodation it will most likely be at farm or orchard you work at. Many backpackers car pool in from the CBD or surrounding suburbs which is an affordable option both transport and rent wise.

Extending Your Australian Working Holiday Visa
Many harvest jobs will meet the Second Australian Working Holiday Visa eligibility and count towards the 88 days of specified work. Some regional locations and jobs are ineligible which could lead to the Department of Immigration rejecting your application. So remember to confirm whether or not your fruit picking or harvest job will count towards the Second Australian WHV.
