So you’re inland now, having a car is your best bet, take the Castlereagh Highway for 7hrs north west from Sydney. Transport wise, daily bus and train services operate to Dubbo, from there a bus operates 3 times per week to Warren

Get down to the Warren Racecourse, old historic buildings, macquarie park or go fishing and camping.
