Huon Valley Backpackers (Baffles Hill) is located centrally in the middle of the Huon Valleys fruit growing district, just 3/4 of an hour south of Hobart it’s a great place to find fruit picking work and stay during your working holiday or travel adventure. Work is arranged from mid November through to May with special weekly rates for working holiday makers. The hostel is on a farm setting overlooking the views of the Huon river and the heritage mountain areas.

Little Devil Backpackers is one Tasmania’s newest working hostels, located in the beautiful Huonville region just 38km south of Hobart. The hostel will assist guests with finding farm or processing jobs in the area from late October to May each year. The hostel itself has indoor and outdoor dinning facilities, a 42inch plasma, dvd player and internet access for all guests.

MacWright House Hostel is larger style house which has been modified to serve as a hostel offering a shared kitchen, BBQ and laundry. There are 9 bedrooms in the hostel, each configured which a different number of beds and setup. Long term rental deals may be available.

Hawley’s Gingerbread House is more of a cosier, boutique hostel with no rooms sharing more than 4 occupants at any one time. The hostel itself has WiFi in all rooms as well as an outdoor terrace for guests to use.
