The Yarra Valley covers a pretty large area, from Croydon to Healesville, with the Coldstream Brewery in between! Make sure you stop by there for a fresh beer off tap. There’s also 80+ wineries in the region, we guarantee you will end up on a wine tour. Fruit Picking wise you will obviously find work, pruning and thinning vines and grape picking but there’s also opportunities grape, strawberry, lemon, cherry and berry picking.

Being located near Melbourne’s outer suburbs you could always rent a place cheap out there. If that’s too much trouble there is hostels, caravan parks, self contained units and many other options in the area.

Extending Your Australian Working Holiday Visa

Many harvest jobs will meet the Second Australian Working Holiday Visa eligibility and count towards the 88 days of specified work. Some regional locations and jobs are ineligible which could lead to the Department of Immigration rejecting your application. So remember to confirm whether or not your fruit picking or harvest job will count towards the Second Australian WHV.
