Located about 90km south of Cairns, sugar has been grown here since the late 1800’s. There is also fruit picking work in Innisfail with bananas, paw paws and other tropical fruits grown in the region.

Queenslanders best mate the Bruce Highway will get you there! Innisfail is 260km north of Townsville ( 3hrs drive) and 90km south Cairns.

There’s a backpackers hostel in town otherwise caravan park, camping and hotels are an alternative option. Obviously farm stay could work if you get accommodation on site. The nearest major airports are in Cairns and Townsville.
